The little xsr is a great bike to wheelie just like the MT07. Comes up really nicely off the throttle in first or clutch it up in second as it's easier to control and more predicable.

You won't look cool, but if you want to look like a tool, that will do it! In some jurisdictions, you may even get a ticket to make it just a bit more memorable

Well the problem is I'd like to practice them a bit more but don't want to destroy my bike

I can only do power wheelies (second gear) but not wheelies with using the clutch or reaching balance point

 

Heard that! Wheelies and stoppies are terrifying. There are a few places that actually teach you how to do them though and the thought of a day of naughtiness on without danger to your own bike is quite compelling. I'd love to have a go.

 

Has anyone here done stoppies? I've only done both wheelies and stoppies in grand theft auto. Stoppies scare me more... don't like the idea of getting a clearer view of the pavement with the rear end up!

 

I've never done a wheelie or been the type to before either. saying that tho I've done several power wheelies by mistake on the XSR it's very light and torquey

 

Never done a wheelie in my life. Too scared something would go wrong and I drop the bike. That would break my heart. :crying:

I might be one of those folks that end up learning the hard way!

I haven't on any of my bikes, been way too easy of a rider to do it and kind of nervous.

But threads like this might be the inspiration I need
