I took the XSR on a 250 mile ride to a motorcycle ralley in NH, USA. Boy did myh arse take a Pounding! Any guides on to modify the seat for comfort? Is the seat cover made in Italy good? I really dont want to spend 650$ + on a custom Corbin Seat.

The XTribute seat fits the XSR. It's a bit thicker and is way more comfy, and it's far cheaper than the likes of Corbin, Sargent etc. An even cheaper option is a loose sheepskin cover, secured with a webbing belt so it can easily be removed. Second option has worked for me on many bikes for many years!

I don't know how much time you have riding this season, so I don't know how "conditioned" your butt is. That said, the solo saddle is more comfortable than the stock one and is a shade over $100. Best part with the XSR is the ease in swapping seats out. I just finished out doing a 240 mile day, then two days at around 80 miles each, then the last day doing the 240 miles again. I won't say my butt wasn't a bit sore at the end of the days, usually due to the straight roads ridden for part of it. The curves have me moving and weight shifting some, so much better. I also haven't ridden a lot yet this year, so that was part of the deal.

I will say the solo saddle, like some of the others, provides a flatter platform allowing some fore aft movement. That's the trick, being able to move a bit.
