I scratched my fork, and I filled in the scratch with a black Sharpie and then rubbed over the spot with my thumb to blend the color a bit. Make sure you let it dry for a bit before making your judgement, I think you will be amazed at the result. My 1" by .5" scratch/gouge is practically invisible close up and totally hidden from a couple of feet away, redneck problem solving at its finest (I live in TN... so...:) ).
Glad I'm not the only one doing this! It works great :smile2:

Yes, here is a before and after.



Removing the guard was a problem! First I tried to pull it out with a flat screwdriver, but soon I realized that it was very difficult and too risky for me and the bike. Later I found a wooden hammer (actually a toy) and I started to hit it. It took a while but finally it popped out. Unfortunately, I also damaged the fork, just a little bit.
why does your headlight assembly look so much cleaner than mine? apart from the indicators, i cant tell whats different?
