xsr700 std seat vs Flat Seat
I recently bought the flat seat of yamaha for xsr700 (scrambler type), for two reasons.
1) I think the standard seat is not so comfortable for the passenger (my girlfriend complained that on longer trips she feels tired and achy)
2) The look :grin2: the scrambler look seat from Yamaha looks very nice on the bike
For those who have questioned what is the differences between the two seats .... I put some photos
As you can see on the last photo, the chassi is exactly the same on the two seats. The main difference are the shape of the seat and the coating.(I found the seat not slippery such as the standard).
Because the seat is flat, it ends up earning a little extra space for the passenger

I paid 148 euros . But you could try to replace the interior foam with gel.

I bought the flat seat with the bike.
Because of the look of it.
I've done 500km on the stock. And for sure, the stock is higher and a lot more confortable!!!
But I live in Paris... Look is very important for me!
Now the bike has 1300km, still on the flat one!
