Hi all,
Im looking at fitting a windshield (handlebar fit) that I can put on for longer rides then remove when I want.
Ive seen the Puig and Givi screen on fleabay, Ive seen the MRA screens also.
Has anyone fited a screen to their XSR?
If so I would be interetsed in wher eyou got it, how much it was and how it looks?! Pics would be good!
Thanks

Ah ok sorry, you are right... not sure if I saw something diferent from what you mentioned. If you check the forums you migh find some custom creations or some other motorbike windshield adapted to the XSR700.

When I ordered my bike, I got them to fit the standard fly screen but found at speeds above 70 (which I never did obviously) I was finding it uncomfortable and getting quite a lot of neck strain. So I decided to see what other alternatives there were.

Came across a Puig fly screen (http://www.motea.com/en/wind-protec...16-puig-vision-black-black-i4113-236729-0.htm) which I liked the look of and also looked like it would offer more protection.
Fitted it this weekend and took it for a test, my initial observations are that at the higher speed I was more relaxed and felt less stain on the neck.

Quality wise, it seems OK. I believe these are standard items with fitting kits to adapt to various bikes - the fitting kit isn't as good as the Yamaha fly screen version but does the job OK.
The Puig fairing / screen is a little flimsy and does vibrate a bit with the bike and I think I will try to stiffen this up somehow - need to look into this, but this doesn't detract from it doing its job.
I will also get the main fairing painted yellow to match the bike.

Hope this helps some how
