Hi XSR community, so I passed my test on Wednesday and got the keys to my Silver XSR 700 Thursday and so far i can't stop grinning. I'm hooked, everyone seems to love this bike, I think I made the right choice.

Congratulations on passing your test and the purchase of such a fine bike... is it a brand new bike, are you running it in?... if so the real fun begins after the 600 mile run in.. had mine 5 months now an i absolutely love it:grin2:
Thanks, yeah im at the 'taking it easy' stage, 600 miles shouldn't take too long though! Then I think i'm gonna do a route from South to North Wales and have a bit of fun.

Doesn't it rain a lot over there? Hopefully you don't get caught in the rain, had that happen to me multiple times and its not fun at all! But some people don't mind it. During those times I retreat :D
Yep, it's true we get more than our fair share! Doesn't bother me too much though ? as long as you got a decent set of gear it's fine. Did get caught out once though travelling from Swansea to the Midlands on a 125 via Brecon! I was totally unprepared - left in sunshine and rode through a storm over the mountains. That wasn't so fun, had to stop to dry off a good few times that day. Arrived cold & soggy 5 hours later.
Welcome to the forum, enjoy your bike, it's a good 'un

Haha...each to their own i guess...the XSR is my first bike and i tend to be 'mechanically sympathetic' to my cars as well... But i generally drive/ride like i stole it:grin2:
