Anyone had any luck fitting quad lock to xsr700? Can't seem to place it as the speedo gets in the way.

Thought about moving the speedo forwards? Or would you then not be able see it due to what's being held in the quad lock?

Thanks everyone - eventually jammed it in there!
I had a quick go at installing mine tonight for an iPhone X. Put the bracket nr the Speedo on the left. What angle did you guys put the arm at? I’ve got it at about 11 o’clock, but it’s not fitting...
Can anyone provide any more pictures? I'm thinking of switching to a quad lock because my phone decided to take flying lessons on the motorway today - was using a ram mount x grip. Don't fancy going through that again! Quad lock looks a bit more secure!
I bought one and it fit like a dream. I thought I'd post some pictures to assist others!

I found the best way to mount it is to slightly move the cable tie holding the wires from the clutch and mount the lever piece directly to the handlebar mount with no extension bar. This makes sure its the most solid it can be, with no extra leverage of the extension bar catching in the wind.

For some reason I can't upload pics, so hopefully you can see this link...

Here is how I fitted mine, with the extension from quad lock. I cut away the strip lock holding the wire closest to the lever and fitted it snug to the bar, then refitted a new strip lock. And dont mock the helmet, I get loads of compliments when I wear it! :smile2:

Was the X-grip really that bad? I was looking at it because you don't need an extra phone case to use it. I also have seen alot of raving reviews about how sturdy the grip is and that to make sure it won't fall off you can use their rubber net-thingy which holds it a little bit more.

I've used it at over 100mph (downhill) with and without rubber net, totally secure. Just make sure it's fully in place before leaving :wink2:
Hi. Here you can seen mounting QL on my bike, wit gilles relocator and Dart flyscreen Piranha. It is still not tested on the road :)

I agree, they are very secure. Had no issues for 2 years! But I think I had it mounted a little too upright so it was really catching the wind. I was "probably" going "a bit" over the speed limit...
It was also a cheap knock off, not made by RAM.

So it was really my fault! But I wouldn't like the possibility of that again, regardless. So a lockable mount for me from now on!

Throwing this out there ... I’m using the bicycle quadlock mount as it puts to more over my left mirror. Looks pretty clean if you ask me. I have the Moto Mount too but haven’t swapped because I like this placement currently haha. Photos show the mounted phone.

Haha! Yeah i thought I recognised that bike 😄
You make cities look like ghost towns! 😂
Anyone had any issues with iPhone attached to quadlock and camera focus/stabilization stops working and crackling sound from the speakers. This issues is hot topic on many other discussion boards.
I have an Android (Samsung S9 Duo), not an iPhone. I don't have any issues with the motorcycle quadlock after 10.000km. I have notice however that quadlock released a anti-vibration product add-on. So, there should be some truth to the claims of breaking phones cameras etc
