I was looking for Yamaha XSR700 updates and came across this contest. Is it legitimate?

If it is, anyone on the forum going to enter the contest and go to their show?

I've entered, but it's only for UK residents.
One thing you'll want to make sure to do is to read the disclaimer and all the fine print just to ensure it all resonates with you. rather not be in for any surprises.
....I can take a trip across the pond? Lol.

I hope you win!

I bet they'll require that you be a resident for x amount of years or something like that.
It's open to Uk residents only and here's what you get:
he Draw will be to win a 2016 model Yamaha motorcycle (“the Prize”). The Prize includes the first registration fee, 12 months road tax and number plate. Any future road tax payments are to be borne by the winner. The Prize does not include insurance, which shall be the responsibility of the winner. Choice of colour of the Prize is subject to availability. Future maintenance of the Prize must be borne by the winner. The Promoters take no responsibility for any mechanical, body or paint repairs and/or modifications made to the Prize from the date and time of collection.
The draw will be February 4th of next year so we have a long wait ahead of us.

It's going to suck if the person that wins usually gets horrible insurance rates :D

At least it will be an easy way to make money!
I bet there is a high chance that the person who wins will have already bought one on their own by the time the draw happens,.

True. I've entered, but as the draw isn't until Feb next year I'll probably have already ordered one and hopefully taken delivery. If I'm lucky maybe I'll end up with two! One in each colour??
You can keep one as a touring bike and modify the other to go off road.

Maybe even turn that touring bike into a cafe racer.

But I think I might get bored of having two of the same bikes and just sell the winning bike for something different, or just to get funds to dump into one bike.
The Prize is subject to availability and the Promoters reserve the right to substitute the Prize with another of equivalent value without giving notice. The Prize is not transferable without the Promoter’s prior written agreement and no cash alternative is available.
Wait, they can give you something other than a xsr700?
That makes sense since it makes who ever wins it that much happier with what they're given, not everyone is going to want the XSR700. Plus they are in the business of fun, it's best not to take away what would amount to the most fun for someone or what ever bike helps to contribute to the fun they're involved in.
The Prize can be collected from a local Yamaha UK authorised dealership within the UK and the winner must present a copy of the letter of collection.
I think they ship it to your local dealership but not sure if it's for free.
Even if there's a delivery fee it won't be much, can't imagine it being more than a couple hundred since it's just a bike.
