For those still wondering how to install a plug & play USB socket (pre-wired with Yamaha connector), I've recorded the process and cut it down to a short video:

Once you know where to find the connector you're good to go, even this short edit is a bit of an overkill for the task..

Yamaha OEM part number: YMEFUSBU0000

However, I got mine on ebay otherwise the price is a bit steep for what it is! You can also go very cheap by just buying the connector (ebay..) and a generic waterproof 12V USB socket, DIY wiring is simple.

Many thanks for the info, Geoffb.
I´m looking just for the type of connector that can be fitted to the Yamaha auxiliary harness, as I already order a small usb waterproof charger from Amazon.
I think I will buy a kit of waterproof connectors and I will change the bike one.
Anyway, thank you so much.

Like one of these? Perhaps you could cut and graft your connector?

exactly, something like that; but I can´t find it on Amazon; I will go for other type of connectors and I will replace the one on the bike
