Hey guys, I got my xsr recently and I don´t find the helmet cable. It is supposed to come with the bike right?

Yeah it should be there...
Do you guys actually "trust" that cable? I mean, do you lock your helmets to it and leave the bike alone? I always feel like it would be easily cut by a pair of scissors....

Have you looked on the under side of the seat? There should be a small tool bag, it should be under that bag! That's where I found mine.

Not too safe I think, but is okay for leaving it at daylight or in a relatively safe place.

I dismounted the metallic and the plastic pieces under the seat and didn't found the cable. The next Monday gonna ask the dealer about it.
And I found that the screws that hold the passenger seat handle are cross threaded :( (I think thats the expression in English).
I don´t think it was my fault at removing the handle because one can´t mess the screws unscrewing (delicately), or I think so.

I have a helmet lock from Oxford, it's pretty good as it fits (just) into the end frame and into the helmet buckle making it fit on the side of the bike nicely. However I use my older Shoei on this, The new bespoke fullface I ordered wouldn't be left with the bike!

No, its brand new. I´ll go ask the dealer the next Monday.
I also cant find mine? And its new but i did read and have not checked that you pull out the screwdriver and its slid over that???????
I tried searching for it on mine, couldn't find it. Mine is a new bike too.
This is where mine is, on the seat.

Mmmmh this under-saddle is different from mine, and also the way you "lock" the black plastic bag under it is a bit different.. Still working the same anyway, I guess the difference is just depending on the date you purchased your bike, I've been one of the first I guess :).
Btw guys idk about the helmet locking cable, looks strange that you can't find it! Mine was half hidden under the saddle lock, with the screwdriver passing through the two cable's rings!
Ok I went to the dealer and gave me the cable, he took from another xsr on stock haha.
Probably they did the same on mine because someone lost his own cable .

My under saddle is different too.

PD: Where u guys put the bike´s documentation and insurance papers?
I put right over the tools.

The screws weren't last threaded or so it told me the mechanic, maybe I was a little scared of forcing the screw.

That's exactly how my under-seat looks like!
I managed to put the documents and the insurance into a little, transparent plastic paper and then put them all toghether into the black plastic Yamaha's little bag. Documents and insurance are a bit "compressed", but this works, is water-proof and an easy way to have them always with me on my bike!

I downloaded the owner´s manual in my phone, so I can keep the book in home and save some space.
Will try to fit the papers in the Yamaha plastic bag so I keep them watertight. Thanks!

This is how mine looks, minus the cable.
My whole toolkit was missing too including the helmet wire, i told them at my running in service and they just gave me a new one.. but you'd think they'd check the bikes properly before they are handed over to customers...

I think you guys are making some confusion, the picture of wex700 is from the seat " take out your seat and turn it upside down".
The Artorius picture is from the bike "under the seat".

My cable was on the seat, and also a bag for keeping the documents..
At first I couldn't find mine either so I went to the dealer and they gave me one, so when I got home I looked inside the toolbag and there it was. So now I have 2! I've never used it. A friend told me he used it once and someone cut the stripe from his helmet. The good thing is that it works! Always look at the bright side!
