Hello all

due to a complicated process of getting some second hand replacement mirrors (none of the 4 I have match!) I neeed to remove the thread from my new lh mirror to insert a rh thread but can’t get a 10mm socket in as the hole is too small. Any ideas? pic below...

Should look cool when done as they are mt09 mirrors that will be finished in gloss black. The one I took the thread from had a bigger aperture so wasn’t an issue getting that one out.

thanks

Yeah, do what I had to do with a spark plug socket - grind the OD down on it until it fits. Put it on an extension and take a belt sander to it. The extension is to keep from burning your fingers, it's gonna get hot, and to rotate it while grinding it. But don't overdo it. I also have done this when I needed to get more grip, sanding the face until the hex was flush with the end.
