Hello,

I would like to introduce you to my modified XSR.
The modifications are not finished (exhaust, sides, etc is missing).
It was important for me to shorten the rear and change the huge turn signals and the headlights.
First pic was the original bike.
Hope you like it?!

Greetings Tom

Nice! Love seeing all the pics of diff xsr's :)

You must have sprayed the rad?

Could you do a write up of the headlight change? Or list any other headlights you considered?

Loving the pin indicators, seen a few xsr's with them now. :)
Looks great. Please let us know how you went about the headlight. I wonder how a plain rear fender with no light and two small indicators with multi-function would look like.

Hello,

yes I sprayed the rad & a part of the exhaust with exhaust paint.

For the headlight: it is the "Highsider Atlanta LED".
(sorry can`t insert a link or url, don`t no why?)
To install the headlight you have to remove the complete front.
I fixed the headlight with lamp holder from Highsider.

The headlight has a control box which I placed in the left side panel.
To not not damage the original wiring harness(?) I removed the plug of the old headlight & turn signals and connected to the new headlight.
The whole reconstruction work is not too difficult, but quite tinker-intensive.
But I have to say, the light output is much better and the bike is much slimmer in the front, which I prefer more...

In the near future, I will build an aperture for the upper gap between headlight and tachometer.

Headlight looks good mate, what size is it?
Thx :wink2:

Size is 5 3/4 inch..
What front fender is that? It looks like the Ermax's one, (the one I'm looking for!) :)
yes, the front fender is from Ermax:

"YAMAHA XSR700 2016-2016 RM11/12 BODYSTYLE Vorderradkotflügel"

this is probably a lost cause as this thread is over two years old, but what did you use as a spacer for the front signals? i have some of them on the way and i was trying to come up with a way to move them about an inch away from the headlight

thanks
Geez, I find it a bit ironic that the US GP speed block on yellow was not offered in the US. Love the yellow/black/white better than the old Euro colors of red/blue/white, probably because of the connection to Ken Roberts, Skip Aksland, and other U.S. flat trackers who ran the yellow/black/white on the dirt as well as on the road courses. Wish we had it for the 700 here. I'm jealous.

They look like they might be the ones made by Rizoma. I used their spacers on my rear lights to move them a bit out from the license plate. http://www.rizoma.com/universal/indicator-lights/distanziali-fr/en
