Seems SC just launched a new full system with Euro4 homologation, available from September.

I find this exhaust intriguing.

It feels to me that they designed this thing simply to be able to offer a less loud alternative. I've had my share of problems with the SC exhausts being too loud so should be exited about this one. However, SC Project exhausts also win people over because of their sleak and well designed looks. This one, not so much..

To me it feels like an SC Project redesign of the original Yamaha exhaust, with the big underbelly unit. Most people get rid of the Yamaha one because of this underbelly unit. So why buy one that gives you the same problem?

update?

Hello there,
I was considering the SC Project 2016 edition, which looks so cool.
Now they have the 2017 Euro4 edition with TUV approval. As my bike is registered in Germany, this could be a real advantage in order to have the bike certified without having to swap out the exhaust.
The optics are far from as nice and I have found no reviews or videos.
Is there anybody who has mounted this exhaust who can share views please?

Somewhere I read to meet the E4 specs, they could've designed it that way or give it a real huge silencer instead. I dig the challenge and appreciate their attempt but yep, the result doesn't look like something you want to buy for 1000 bucks. Some exhaust designer will have to do some kind of magic I guess.
It's not too bad looking in black, but I feel like there should be more affordable options out there. Are you just looking for something that's TUV approved?
alternatives...

thanks for the response. Ideally, I want something sleek, totally black, a design that is in line with the retro style character of the bike, a little louder and fully street legal (i.e. euro4 homologated and TUV approved). The 2016 Conic 70's exhaust is darn close and would fit the bill, if it worn't for the last criteria.

Suggestions would be most welcome!

I'm in the same situation as you. I love the Conic 70's (silver in my case) but I'm not sure if it's homologated/approved when mounted on the 2018 XSR700 so any help will be appreciated.

I'm in Spain btw :smile2:
Same situation here. I'm thinking of buying the SC Project Euro 4. I think the sound is even better as I prefer the more deep than 'scratchy' sound of the other SC Project without the homologation.

From the videos, the Euro4 does sound a bit bassier at idle, but once the revs increase, it sounds about the same as the regular Conic really (I own one).
Thanks for the insight nightic!

Indeed I haven't found any material to see/hear the Euro 4.
So any tip is appreciated!
anyone grab this exhaust yet? its on my short list of exhausts im considering.

A few videos on Youtube:

For the SC Project xsr700 exhausts, after listening to them all, I'd rate the sound in this order:

CRT - best, nice growl, just right decibel level. If I was keeping the bike for 5+ more years I would definitely get it. Truly made for the bike and no need to reflash as per site and reviews.

Conic euro4 - next best sound, more mechanical but still a good growl, not too loud.

S1 - sounds decent, a little loud, site doesn't say remap is not required, race replica, likely needs reflash.

Conic euro3 - least favorite, would not want it, rattle-trappy sound, doesn't fit aesthetic of the bike. When I first got the 700 the look of this exhaust called to me, but I see it differently now years later and ears later, like an after thought slap on. The black looks better because it's less visible and the coating makes it look more refined, but same sound.

Looks wise I'd go in same order, maybe nudge the euro4 black to the top of the list and fugley S1 to the bottom. The CRT looks damn fine, fits the look so well.
