Right tank panel not lacquered (green)

Hi all, weird one this... Out cleaning the bike (green with the silver stripe), got to polishing the right side of the tank, and I thought "oh, that's a bit cheap, you can feel the silver strip, like a sticker. Looked on the left and it's flush! Been lacquered over! But not on the right. Might get onto the dealer about that, as the right side is also starting to show some knee scratches, which again is probably because its bare paint.
