I would also like to know how to do this.
thanks, i will try next weekOkay, I have got the same exhaust system and before buying it I was told that these new exhausts comply to a newer EU control and the DB killer is put in such a way that its not as easy to remove. However, there is a way around it, you will have a professional or a dealer to unweld the sides of the db killer basically chop the stuck metal between the killer and the exhaust pipe. Once removed, you will be left with small holes which you can use with some small nut and bolts to put the db killer back.
It sounds serious however its not that difficult. It took my dealer 5 minutes to perform the job.
the sound is superb not to loud on my opinion.I will also have this exhaust, so look forward seeing how to remove the db-killers.
Thanks :smile2:
How did you go with the high mount?I've got the single high mounted Akrvpovic on my XSR700, looks very similar build (I have the plastic cap near the end of the exhaust as well, which would need drilling I suspect the same). I will have a go over the weekend and report back with before and after videos if successful.
If i weld it back perhaps!
