Rear paddock stand bobbins

Looking at different methods of lifting the back end of the bike for cleaning and chain maintenance ect I'm a bit mystified, if you fit straight through the axle bobbins can you still slacken the axle nut to make chain adjustments.
Any help and advice would be welcome from any owners who have the answer.

I use the type that fits under the swing arm - if the width is set carefully, it's very stable and allows for lubing or adjusting the chain easily.
Thanks for help tiger john much appreciated
I have to take my bobbins out to tension the chain. it's not a big deal.
I got one of these - brilliant, super stable but you do have to take off the swing arm covers
