Thought it was time to join forum, been reading it since June 16.
I have a green one ( bike that is ) brought it 31st April 2016, what a bike handles brilliant and looks the part.
Have fitted heated yamaha grips best thing I have done, R&g crash bar ends, frame ends and front & rear bobbins.also stand extender. Mesh covers, rad cover, fork gaters, have covered rest of forks in black plastic ( must have have read same magazine as as some of you others ) and have swapped seat for flat one, loads more comfortable and I seem to sit lower down on bike instead of tiptoe, next up exuast not sure what one yet.
Will upload a photo when I find out how to.
Might se some more of you at poole bike night when it starts up again only saw one other last year.

**** Richie,

Nice few mods... I'm looking for the fork covers, where did you get them?. About the gaters, using yamaha's?

Thanks

Welcome to the forums. Exhaust choice is definitely going to be a tough one as they'e so many great sounding ones out there. If you've been browsing these forums, you've definitely gotten the anxiety from trying to pick haha.

Nice to see that you've made a nice amount of modifications to make it more tailored to you as well. Hopefully you'll be able to meet up with some community members and share some good times.

In regards to the pictures, you can upload them when you go to post and it says "Drag files here to attach!" You'll literally just drag and drop it.

OR you can upload your images to a hosting site and paste the [IMG/] link that they provide right into the text box here.

Bike gaters

Hi thanks for reading, yep they were yamaha parts, just go to there acceserio
Page and there listed, the other was just black 40mm pipe from screwfix £2.59 for three metres, just measure and cut the length required, cut length ways file down edges and snap over, I did two on either side on top of each other to make up thickness. Good luck.

Apparently the dealers will only honour warranty claims with the Acrapovic exhaust, my dealer said that they weren't too bothered as most change the exhaust system anyway....that remains to be seen if i made a claim?!?. That hasn't stopped me fitting an SP engineering exhaust to mine though...:grin2:

I find it great, sounds awesome even with the db killer in....too loud without it.. it ties nicely in looks wise too, all in all i'm very happy with it and as far as i know the only xsr700 with one on.
There's a thread in the 'tech' section under 'exhaust discussion' and a couple of You Tube videos i've put up..so you can hear the noise to a degree, but the sounds never as good on phone recordings.
