So I've not liked the original headlight since day one but the cost of aftermarket replacements put me off.

Recently, I managed to find a bucket for £34 from china and a led headlight for £40. I have finally fitted it. It was fairly simple, I had to drill out the original holes in the headlight bracket to 8mm as the standard is 6mm. The light is just plug and play. I haven't tested it in the dark yet but I'll take it out tonight to check the light spread. The light looks quite high in the picture but I have since adjusted the angle.

If anyone wants me to find the links for the parts let me know.

What did you do about the parking light? The new led light doesn't seem to have one. And did you have enough space inside the bucket to house the turn signal connectors?

Thanks

Hello mate,

The new light doesn't have a parking light so I didn't have to worry about it. I just left the connector loose behind the light. There is enough room to get all the connectors in the bucket including the turn signals.
