I fitted a new GR Moto exhaust to the XSR today. I love the tidy and discreet look but it’s a tad louder than I was expecting. 🤫

Yeah I don't think you can keep the look of the short discreet pipe and it be of a reasonable volume without the cat. It is now pretty much a straight through pipe. You can put a db killer in it if you wish. It's a fine line between a nice sound with smooth power delivery and popping and banging and strangling the motor.

Owa, @geoffb would have searched for an exhaust with more style and better in line with the old RD look. Even it is no 2 in 2, but Exan comes in my mind, for example.

Yeah, fair point but I was limited by having no passenger footpeg hangers and a need to fit the belly pan, which didn't fit with the new standard 2021 Euro 5 exhaust with a fatter downpipe.
