I'm pretty sure you'll need to do either or. But if it was up to me, relay change all day. So much simpler and less time consuming. Life made easy.

Thanks to all for the replies!
@Tracker: I need to disassemble the voltage regulator to find the relay or it is near the regulator?

@All: someone have changed the LED flasher?
Because I don't like to cut the original wires is possible to recycle the original cabling from the original flasher?
Yamaha uses specific power connector for the flasher (eg: http://www.mt-series.it/uploads/monthly_07_2014/post-3575-0-63689600-1405338712.jpg) that I could buy form online store but I find this unnecessary and costly...

There is no need to disassemble anything.
You only have to remove the black side cover and you will find the flasher relay next to voltage regulator.

Hi again
from an eBay seller I have bought a digital blinker for LED Flasher.
The connector seems the same of the original Yamaha blinker connector.

Now I must only wait that it arrives to my home :wink2:

Anyone have a link to the correct fitment of LED flasher unit? I bought this but discovered the pin layout is incorrect. I have had a good look around but can't actually see a unit that will fit. Unless I am looking at the wrong component on the bike...

You can get the BIHR led flasher for Yamaha or buy a led flasher from TST Industries

BIHR : https://www.motoblouz.com/vente-centrale-de-clignotants-bihr-pour-yamaha-59380.html

TST INDUSTRIES : https://tstindustries.com/TST-LED-Flasher-Relay-Gen2.html
...I have this one because of a cool option : Adjustable functionality to speed up or slow down flash rate to your preference ;)
Thanx Mr. Paris !

Gonna get me some nice Led blinkers..... and of we go.

Seeya
