Hi Domster. Welcome, you'll love the bike!
Thanks - looking to chop my Triumph Tiger 800 in for a new 60th anniversary model (I guess that makes it last year's bike?)

You're right about the 60th Anniversary bike being a 2016 one, especially if it's got the grey coloured radiator. Though you could fit the correct tank plastics and it would become a 60th Anniversary bike.
Welcome to the forums! Have you taken the XSR for a ride yet?
John A - yes, it has the grey radiator but a change of side panels and a black guard should sort that out... don't really fancy the faff of painting it all black as I can see it all just flaking off!

TheCrow - Thank you. Yes, took it for a spin on Saturday. Loved the lightness and nimbleness compared to the T800, thought the brakes very good, the gearshift OK, a little imprecise but it was new (the bike only had 29 miles on it) and I can be a bit ham-footed. Handles beautifully, very confidence-inspiring and with softer springing it felt comfortable on our crappy back roads. Would need a small screen for me, partly for aesthetics and partly to keep a little of the windblast off.
Just a question of financials and whether I mind taking a huge hit on the T800 against a great price on the XSR. Decisions, decisions...

I'm going to do the same on my new bike, with the Yamaha side covers and guard. :smile2:

Seen how one is a side cover and one is a cover. Everyone else I'm sure calls it a guard at the front?
Would be cool if we see some neo chrome happening since on the colors we have from factory, neo chrome will play in well. Its probably the perfect bit of subtleness needed for these XSR's in my opinion.
OK, the deed is done. Have swallowed the financial pill and collect a brand new 60th anniversary XSR on Wednesday. Can't wait.
Never again will 3 days pass so slowly! It'll be worth the wait. Welcome to the happy owners forum!
Cheers TigerJohn; will be great to have a bike in the garage that I feel comfortable and confident riding, and that looks great.
Well done... looking forward to the pics, like John says it'll draaaggggg like heck:laugh:
