Welcome from NJ. I also did same thing before buying, reading everything and trying to decide between the 2018 700 and a left over 2016 xsr 900. I am happy with my decision to go with the 700.

Hey everyone, wanted to introduce myself.
I'm in the southwest corner of Utah, in the United States.
I picked up a red XSR700 about 3 weeks back.
I'm close to Zion National Park and am really looking forward to lots of trips this spring and summer through there and all the other national parks near me (Bryce Canyon, Grand Canyon, Moab area).
I found this forum before I bought and lurked around reading everything I could trying to decide if the XSR would be the right bike for me.
