Hi from Derby!
Hi all
After a two year break I decided to get back into biking. Had a mix of previous bikes (TL1000, vfr400, gsxr750, vrod, r1), but decided that I was riding too fast and getting too many aches and pains so sold the r1 two years ago
Always keeping an eye on the new models a garage metal xsr700 caught my eye at a dealer a few months ago, and a sit on it showed me it was comfy, plenty of leg room and the 700cc / naked style wouldn't get me into trouble (hopefully!!) - and have been monitoring the forum since!
The leg room is a bonus as I have limited knee movement and no right lower leg......thanks Mr Boy Racer
Anyway - will be picking up my 'used' garage metal 16 plate next week!!!! It already has the silver screen, chain guard and both leather bags. Have just ordered a Black Widow exhaust, gaitors, Evotech rad guard and tail tidy.
Other mods planned are rear brake adjustment/adaption, the mesh inserts, powder coated radiator side covers, bar end mirrors and new levers
I'll be keeping the forum posted with progress!

Sounds like a good dealer find - well done.
Let us know what the bags are like - I really like the look of them but they are pretty pricey!

Congrats on the new xsr700. How does it feel to ride it after a 2 year hiatus?
