Hello everyone,

I got my xsr last week, been enjoying it a lot since then.
I have been browsing this forum for a while now, there are some really cool mods, I definitely have to work on mine a bit...

I changed the headlight on mine for the one from the xsr900 yesterday, I think I will put some pictures of it in a seperate thread some time later today (it is not yet on the photo I attached).

Here is a picture from the weekend.

Welcome to the forum!

I am very interested in the headlight modification. I haven't taken the time to investigate how difficult it is to remove the headlight, was it easy? I also wonder if my suspicions are correct in that it is possible to loosen the two screws on the side to tilt the headlight up/down?
I put up the pictures in this new thread:

It wasen't hard, but I still need to figure out a good way to fix the pitch. The original lamp case is attached by a bolt underneath and the two screws on the side, so you cant change the pitch of the whole thing. But there are two holes in the underside of the black rim at the front where you can adjust two screws to change the attitude of the lamp within the black rim.
Welcome petit Suisse ;)
Très belle garage metal !
Nice idea in upgrading the headlight. Did you by any chance upgrade the internals of it? If not, do you have plans to customize it?

Welcome to the forum.
@YamahaFan I haven't changed any part other than the gray case. I usually only drive in daylight, so I won't bother with another lamp for now.

As for customizing I will focus on putting on a shorter tail and probably another exhaust for now.

Thanks! I will take a look at that. I hate that my front light seems to light up the sky instead of the road. Looks really good with the new headlight replacing the "cannon" as you so eloquently put it.
