Hello Everyone.

Been looking to get back on 2 wheels for a while now, but was undecided as to what to get.
I knew I wanted a naked bike after having a bandit 1200 a few years ago, so when I came across the XSR700 I thought this will suit my bad back and all of my needs.
Had a look at reviews, and most of the reviews were excellent, so tomorrow I will be handing over my hard earned cash on a brand new bike in Forest Green.
I wont be able to collect it till after the 13th March as we will be in Spain till then. Seems a bit funny, as when on holiday it seems to go so fast, but I bet it will seem like forever till we get back.

Anyway glad to be here on the forum, and all the advise I may need from you guys.

Congrats on your purchase and never wish ya holidays away lol
Hi tabspeed congrats on the new bike. Hopefully the weather won't be so bad by the time you get back off hol, so that's a plus.
Welcome to the forum, there's a great bunch of guys on here...myself included haha... and you're right it'll drag like heck knowing what'll be waiting for you when you get back.. hopefully you'll bring back some good weather too:grin2:
Yep welcome tabspeed, enjoy ya hols and please bring back some sun.
You getting bike as standard or having any add on's before you pick up.
Welcome tabspeed! I'm new to the forum and the bike and I can confirm that both are great!! Enjoy your hols!
Welcome! Good choice of colour.

Watch out for the Sun over there in Spain - it's not good for you. Wind, rain, sleet, snow, hail and more wind are much healthier. But a little glimpse of sun and dry weather wouldn't go amiss here at the moment. We're not asking for much, just a couple of decent days for a short blast on the bike. Will this 'orrible winter never end?

If you get bored relaxing by the pool, start planning your bike's mods and riding routes!

Hence why I always recommend getting some sort of paint protection since that will free us up from that one really important thing to worry about. I think even other parts of the bike can take some sort of protector, just not sure what. Any detailers on the forum?

Went and paid for bike today, getting it in standard format for now, but bought at a good price as its an unregistered 2016 but will be registered as a 2017.
Just been looking for a decent price on an Akropovic low slung system.

Will try and make some room in my luggage for some sunshine.
But I do need to leave room for a few bottles of vodka!!
