FI is not my thing, in the olden tymes on carbed bikes I could add a micro-scrubbing fuel filter without any effect on fuel metering cause petro is pooled in the float bowls.

What's the do's and dont's if adding aftermarket fuel filter upstream of a fuel injection system? If there are no consequences I'm going to add this to my off season bike mods.

Edit: just checked parts, fuel pump is inside gas tank, so this line :

if adding aftermarket fuel filter upstream of a fuel injection system?

Needs to read as:

if adding aftermarket fuel filter downstream of fuel pump in a fuel injection system?

Anything I do will create a pressure drop, probably best if I skip this minor mod.
