New member here from Northern Michigan. Been on the road for 54 years and some 35 bikes. Drove 401 miles Saturday to trade my 2016 Bolt for a 2018 red XSR 700. The storm couldn't keep me from the deal that Babbitts offered me so I rented a U-Haul and hauled my butt down there. I had a FZ07 and a FZ09 in 2015 and 2016 and liked the FZ07 enough to go back and pick up an XSR700. At 69, lightness and flickability is more important than outright speed. I also have a 2017 R/E C5 for the more slow going rides.

Welcome Flyerdon! I agree - lightness and flickability are great attributes of the XSR. At (nearly) 62, I've had enough of pushing heavy bikes in and out of my garage - I've just traded in my Africa twin for a new Tracer 700, which will complement my XSR and be better for pillion use and touring. It won't equal the XSR for pure fun, though, so I'm keeping the XSR for those grins! Enjoy your bike.
