ECU flashing for new exhaust

So I've been looking at the full system Arrow street thunder exhaust for the XSR700 (the exhaust is officially for the MT07 but fits the XSR). The exhaust is a high mount straight through system.

I've heard the XSR700 and MT07 run pretty lean from the factory and adding a straight through exhaust only makes this condition worse. However it seems to be a 50/50 argument as to whether it's an issue or not, as a lot of people say the bike self adjusts to the new fuel ratios, while others say the bike barely adjusts and still needs remapping.

So my question is, should I get the ECU flashed and remapped when I add this exhaust or should I leave it be? The only reason I'd get the ECU flashed is for the machine's health with the new exhaust, performance doesn't bother me at this point in time.

Cheers! :smile2:
