Hi All,

Today my new XSR700 in grey arrived. Before this bike I road a Yamaha R1 for 10 years. A more relaxed riding position was what is was looking for. Saw the MT07 and the XSR700. Been to the dealer and after hearing the Akrapovic exhaust. That was an easy choice :)

Upcoming mods
- adjusting the rear preload
- add heated grips
- Hand guards
- install garmin navi mount

Some pictures on my instagram account:

If you have any questions let me know!

Hey gratz for the bike! And welcome!

You will enjoy a lot this silver beast.

These mods sounds like a good idea. Do you know if the original low pipe can be modified with an akrapovic one, but keeping it low under the feet?

Cheers,
David
Welcome to the club!

Would you ever consider upgrading the exhaust at any point or just leave it stock?

Thx, the weather is still sub zero here so the beast have to wait a little more :p

The stock pipe is one unit and I dont think it will look/sound properly if you mod it. At least it wont be easy. (and I think Akrapovic sells only full systems for the MT07/XSR700)

This one is also a good option for the XSR700. Looks and price wise:

No consideration at all, the dealer mounted the highmount Akrapovic before delivery. Any exhaust will sound better then stock exhaust. I will ride this one with DB-killer in it.

On the inside of the exhaust (looking from the left side) there is an E mark on the inside and two sets of papers are provided to make it legal. Not sure if the DB level wil be at 89 db without the optional cat.

Atleast the sound is 10/10.
Hey damouzer, thanks for the pipe idea. I will keep it in mind. :)

What's the sound limit where you live, if you're aware of it?
In Spain up to 90db if I am not mistaken.
