Up for sale is my custom late 2016 Yamaha XSR 700 in Nardo Grey fitted with tracker.
There is currently 16,287 miles on the clock but this will go out as I do 300/400 miles each weekend on ride outs as I get so much enjoyment out of the bike.
The bike is HPI clear as I am the second owner with V5 in my name and all keys.
The MOT is till November but will have fresh MOT for the new buyer. The bike has just had an oil change with motul 7100 oil and k&n filter as well as a coolant change. There is a part service history and receipts for work done on the bike.
I was not impressed with the standard bike so will list the changes.
First the XSR has an Ixil hyper low exhaust, DNA stage two air filter, ECU flash and R6 Throttle tube which has changed the ride and fuelling of the bike as it has eliminated the jerky engine braking and now is smooth.
The headlight has been changed to a JW speaker adaptive 2 headlight with a shallow headlight bucket and Brogue motorcycles short headlight brackets. The JW headlight is not the cheap chinese copy that others have fitted to their bikes and is great at night to light up the corners on the bends.
The tank and tail panels have been professionally sprayed Nardo grey as well as the wheels being powder coated in a similar colour with all bearings replaced.
The XSR/ MT 07 models are known for rust and finish quality issues, to counter act this I have had numerous parts cerakoted and powder coated.
The headlight mount, rear subframe, handlebar mount, upper fork covers, radiator, water pump cover/ pipes, top yoke and lower triple tree have been cerakoted.
The swing arm, lower fork tubes, radiator side guards and numerous brackets have been powder coated with the swing arm having new bearings and the lower fork tubes receiving a full rebuild.
The suspension has been changed on the bike to improve the handling with a YSS rear shock and Ohlins fork springs and a fork preload adjuster cap so it can be changed to suit your riding.
The rear shock can be shortened to make the bike lower for the shorter rider.
A set of Protaper Carmichael handlebars have been fitted which to give a sportier position as they’re a little lower and wider than the stock bars. With these I have fitted a new shorter clutch and throttle cable for an MT07 to eliminate the extra slack from changing the bars.
The brake system has been upgraded with Braided steel hoses and fully sintered brake pads to give more feel. Gilles tooling adjustable brake and clutch levers have been fitted.
Gilles tooling adjustable rear sets have been fitted to put the pegs in a sportier position and ergonomically fit the rider.
A new chain and sprockets were fitted at 12,500 miles as well as
Michelin Road 5 tyres that again improve the handling of the bike instead of the poor Pirelli Phantoms.

Puig tracker bar end mirrors
Gilles tooling speedo relocation kit
Evotech tail tidy, engine crash and fork crash protectors
Yamaha radiator and chain guard
Oxford Atom led indicators
Some original parts will be included in the sale like the rear sets, exhaust, speedo bracket, handlebars and cables.
