Anybody else get a clunking noise that you can feel through the handlebars when you rock the bike onto the forks with the front brake held on? It doesn't happen when I just push the bike up and down on the forks without the brake on. I am only a little concerned as I have just fitted gaiters and top covers but I'm pretty sure I haven't done anything stupid. perhaps it always did this I just didn't notice before. The only issue I had when re assembling the front end was the spindle didn't line up with the far side fork thread hole so it needed to be pushed slightly into line.

The brake calipers create noises & feedback often mistaken for fork issues.

Roll it up to a wall, keep you hand off the brake, and pump the forks

Did as suggested and no problems , so it was probably the brake shoes clunking. Thanks again.
