2x Black Billet Aluminium Mirror Blanking Plugs
---

Brand new - I use these myself but have a spare set, still sealed in retail packaging.

These are, in my opinion, the nicest looking Mirror Plugs available.
Very nicely machined and anodized and utilising a simple design, with a smooth, slightly domed top and knurling along the rim.
They are in the correct M10 size, left and right hand threaded for the XSR700 and are an excellent fit for the XSR (see 2nd photo).

Price is GBP £10 including delivery in the UK
(These are quite hard to find - and are £13 on ebay)

Price drop: now GBP £9 including delivery within the UK.
These didn't fit on the right side!
That's weird, I have these fitted right now without issue.
Can you check that the threads on both plugs are threaded in opposite directions.

Yep, both correct threads. It goes in about 1 thread depth, then stops. I've even had a replacement set sent out and still doesn't fit! But then the original mirror screws on just fine, showing its not cross threaded!

So weird. Might have to live with a hole in the bar...
For anyone whose stumbled across this post looking for mirror plugs, or has bought the same ones and also had an issue getting them in on the right hand side...

Use a set of pliers wrapped in tape (so that you don't damage the plug) and you should be able to twist it on without too much resistance.

Had exactly the same problem trying to get the screw into the right side... turns out the thread is reversed on the right so its left to tighten 🤦‍♂️ never noticed when I removed the mirror and fortunately didn't spend too much time to get it right
