Any tricks / tips for stock exhaust sound??

Hi guys,

Just wondering if anyone knows of any decent tricks to get the stock exhaust to sound a little louder and beefier? I don't have the disposable cash right now to drop £300+ on a new system.

I've seen the MT-07 trick of drilling a few holes in the pipes but don't really want to do anything "destructive" in that sense. Has anyone tried removing the db killer in the stock pipe before??

Cheers all

Im afraid there is no real way to remove the "Db killer" in the stock exhaust. Here is a thread from the MT07/FZ07 forum

Also here's a photo of a stock exhaust breadbox cut in half so you can see for yourself.

You can drill 6 3/8 holes around the base of the exhaust pipe as it comes out of the "breadbox muffler" in even spaces 3 x bottom 3 x top. Lots on youtube about it. Makes the lower rpm more grunty aparantly
Thanks for the replies - I guess it seems like the only free hack is to drill holes.

Happy to live with the stock sound for now, just need to start saving the pennies for a new system!

Cheers
I'd probably just leave it the same way until you can spring for an exhaust. Something about drilling holes into a muffler just makes me twitchy lol
