Where are these bikes manufactured?
In Japan, in France, in Italy?

Yes, mine clearly states MBK Industrie as the manufacturing plant.

Same here, mine was imported from EU and states MBK as well.

I wonder whether the engines are manufactured in Japan, then shipped to France for final assembly into the frame? The MBK plate, fixed to the chassis, seems to refer to final testing.

That I hope! I read somewhere that XSR700 was designed by the same guy who designed among other things Yamaha MT-01!
